Meta's social network is testing two new ways to verify users' ages. Before an account is created, Yoti's technology will evaluate the user's age using AI (Artificial Intelligence). If a user who wants to register is no more than 13 years old, he or she will not be able to complete the registration of his or her account.
The second method is called Social vouching. It consists of Instagram when registering a user reaching three random followers who are at least 18 years old and they have to confirm the age of the user who wants to register within three days. There is not much information about this kind of age verification. It is interesting how someone can follow an unregistered user… Perhaps Instagram will modify the registration system.

The page will warn you before you scan that the photo will not be stored anywhere and that it will not be misused to recognize a person. This age verification method can be fooled by holding a photo of someone who is 13 years or older in front of the camera.
